WORDNERDY enjoys Lisa Goldstein’s IVORY APPLES.
I did like the fantastical elements a lot; this is a strong entry into the mysterious magical book genre. A-/B+.
LYNNE’S BOOK BLOG is looking to the book.
I have heard such good things about this book already.
Paul Semel interviews Goldstein.
Ivory Apples sounds like a fantasy story, but kind of a scary one. Is that how you see it?
I see it as a fantasy novel with a lot of horror in it. I wanted to
write more horror than I usually do, but not let it completely take over
the narrative.
