Meet Tachyon publisher/editor Jacob Weisman
Tachyon head honcho Jacob Weisman, editor of INVADERS: 22 TALES FROM THE OUTER LIMITS OF LITERATURE and forthcoming THE NEW VOICES OF FANTASY (with Peter S. Beagle), joins Chris Carosi, Anna Ghosh, Steve Mockus, and Rusty Morrison on the CCA MFA Writing panel on publishing, Friday May 5, 4PM at The CCA Graduate Writing Building 195 De Haro Street, San Francisco, CA.
CCA MFA Writing present a panel on publishing. Featuring representatives from Chronicle Books, City Lights, Omnidawn, Tachyon Publications and Ghosh Literary, learn how books get published, as well as career opportunies in publishing.

Chris Carosi is a book publicist and digital marketing & publicity
coordinator for City Lights Books. Originally from Pittsburgh, he
graduated from the MFA in Creative Program at the University of San Francisco in 2011.Anna Ghosh. Anna started her career as a literary agent in New York City in 1995 and was a partner at Scovil Galen Ghosh before founding Ghosh Literary in San Francisco. Her client list includes New York Times bestsellers, Pulitzer Prize winning journalists, noted scholars and literary fiction authors.
Steve Mockus. Steve is an executive editor at Chronicle Books in its Entertainment acquisition group. His editorial focus is on pop culture and humor, illustrated and licensed projects. Long, long ago, he also earned an MA in creative writing from San Francisco State.
Rusty Morrison. Rusty’s five books include After Urgency (Dorset Prize), the true keeps calm biding its story (winner of Sawtooth Prize, Academy of AmPoet’s Laughlin Award, NCBA, & DiCastagnola(PSA). Beyond the Chainlink (Ahsahta) was finalist for NCIBA & NCBA. She’s been co-publisher of Omnidawn since 2001.
Jacob Weisman is the publisher at Tachyon Publications, which he founded in 1995. He is a three-time World Fantasy Award nominee and is the series editor of Tachyon’s critically acclaimed, award-winning novella line. Weisman has edited the anthologies Invaders: INVADERS: 22 TALES FROM THE OUTER LIMITS OF LITERATURE, THE SWORD & SORCERY ANTHOLOGY (with David G. Hartwell), and THE TREASURY OF THE FANTASTIC (with David M. Sandner). He lives in San Francisco.
