YESTERDAY’S KIN envisions a scary, all-too-possible future

In the July 2014 issue of True Reviews (Number 89 Vol. 32), Andrew Andrews delivers a short review of Nancy Kress’ Yesterday’s Kin.

As usual, Kress mixes the mundane world of Jenner’s life, her children, her family, worries about jobs and careers and love and understanding with the fantastic elements of the Denebs. This is a scary, all-too-possible future, easily envisioned by our best “near-future” SF writer, Kress.
