Happy birthday to the lyrical, World Fantasy winner Patricia A. McKillip

Known for her lush imagery and compelling characters, Patricia A. McKillip has written over 25 novels including the award-winning THE FORGOTTEN BEASTS
OF ELD (World Fantasy), HARPIST IN THE WIND (LOCUS), SOMETHING RICH AND
STRANGE (Mythopoeic), OMBRIA IN SHADOW (World Fantasy and Mythopoeic), and SOLSTICE WOOD (Mythopoeic). In 2008, she received the prestigious World Fantasy Award for Lifetime Achievement.
Among McKillip’s other prominent novels are THE RIDDLE-MASTER OF HED, THE CHANGELING SEA, THE BOOK OF ATRIX WOLFE, WINTER ROSE, SONG FOR THE BASILISK, ALPHABET OF THORN, OD MAGIC, THE BELL AT SEALEY HEAD and THE BARDS OF BONE PLAIN. Her numerous short stories have been collected in several volumes including THE THROME OF THE
ERRIL OF SHERILL, HARROWING THE DRAGON, and WONDERS OF THE INVISIBLE WORLD.
2016 is proving to be a busy year for McKillip with the February publication of her new novel KINGFISHER and the collection DREAMS OF DISTANT SHORES coming in June.
