Olivie Blake (One for My Enemy), Jacqueline Carey (Cassiel’s Servant), Piper J. Drake (Wings Once Cursed and Bound), Laura Thalassa (Bewitched), and Mia Tsai (Bitter Medicine) are breathing new life into romantic fantasy. These authors challenge the power of true love’s kiss and show us that happily ever after isn’t always what it seems, challenging what you thought you knew about romantasy. Meet Peter S. Beagle, author of the beautifully detailed fantasy SUMMERLONG, at Comic-Con

KIRKUS REVIEWS praises Peter Beagle’s new novel SUMMERLONG.

In his first new novel in more than a decade, Beagle creates an intimate drama between the members of a family who are slowly blindsided by myth and magic spilling into their ordinary world.

<snip>

A beautifully detailed fantasy about love, magic, and age that doesn’t quite reconcile its reality with the myths that inspire it.

In the meme STACKING THE SHELVES, MY THOUGHTS…
LITERALLY! is very excited about the new book.

Peter S. Beagle, author of The LAST UNICORN, which I love, is coming out with a new book. I’m so excited to read. It sounds like a great new modern fairy tale/magical realism read.

Peter Beagle will be attending the Comic-Con: International. Not only will he have a table selling books, but he’s taking part in a panel discussion.

Creating Your own Universe

Len Wein (co-creator of Swamp Thing and Wolverine) moderates a panel that will discuss the many ways one might create a universe, whether in comics, novels, gaming, television, film and virtual reality. Panelists include James Lopez (creator, Hullabaloo, an animated Steampunk series), Mark Murphy (co-creator, Neil deGrasse Tyson Presents: Space Odyssey), Peter S. Beagle (author, The Last Unicorn), and representatives from cutting-edge VR companies, including HTC Vive and Samsung GearVR.

Friday July 22, 2016 7:30pm – 8:30pm
Room 5AB
