ROCK YOUR REALITY includes Nalo Hopkinson on Dope Female Authors
To Get Into This Women’s History Month.

Through research, after reading Octavia Butler’s stories, I came across Nalo Hopkinson.  Hopkinson has Caribbean roots and her stories are science fiction and fantasy.  Her books include BROWN GIRL IN THE RING and MIDNIGHT ROBBER. My introduction to Hopkinson was with her collection of short stories titled FALLING IN LOVE WITH HOMINIDS.  Her stories inspired a few stories of my own.

Kristian Wilson for BUSTLE recommends FALLING IN LOVE WITH HOMINIDS in Short-Story Collections You Should Binge Read This Weekend.

The author of a number of sci-fi/fantasy novels, including BROWN GIRL IN THE RING, SISTER MINE, and MIDNIGHT ROBBER, Nalo Hopkinson published her uncollected fiction in 2015’s FALLING IN LOVE WITH HOMINIDS.
