Some two years after publication, Daryl Gregory’s World Fantasy and Shirley Jackson award winning novella WE ARE ALL COMPLETELY FINE continues to warrant attention.

Daryl Gregory was interviewed by Jason Crane on 98.7 (Pleasant Gap, PA) The Freq MORNING MIXTAPE. They discussed WE ARE ALL COMPLETELY FINE, the book and the SYFY tv series, at length.

In her essay “Dreams, Destinies, and Opposable Thumbs: The Chosen Children of Portal Fantasy” for TOR, Seanan McGuire references the novella.

I wanted to know. Once I’d really started thinking about it, I needed to know. I’ve done my share of therapy, and part of the healing process is being around people who’ve had similar experiences, which gives them the empathy to understand what you’re going through. So shoving a bunch of these people together and watching what happened was only natural. Only Daryl Gregory went and wrote WE ARE ALL COMPLETELY FINE, which is (a) majestic, and (b) about a specialized form of group therapy, which meant that was out. Dammit.

Cops and especially crime series on television are virtually unthinkable without serial killer. Reason enough around the subject to look at times from a fantastic view.

In “We are all completely fine” by Daryl Gregory is about the survivors. At the end of each book or each film, there are people who have all survived. The idea in “We are all completely fine”, that meet these people and start a Selbthilfegruppe.

“Silence of the Lambs” by Thomas Harris anyway everyone knows. As ground zero for the serial killer hype in the 90s but it is definitely worth to approach the whole time from a fantastic view.
