Bruce Sterling’s clever and compassionate ROBOT ARTISTS & BLACK SWANS will appeal to fans of intelligent cyberpunk

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY praises Bruce Sterling’s forthcoming ROBOT ARTISTS & BLACK SWANS: THE ITALIAN FANTASCIENZA STORIES. Though not out until March, the book is available for pre-order from all finer booksellers or directly from Tachyon.

Set largely in Turin, Italy, this urbane collection of seven stories from futurist Sterling (Pirate Utopia) reflects the author’s wholehearted embrace of both the post-human future and Italian culture.

Sterling’s clever, compassionate work will appeal to fans of intelligent cyberpunk.

Worth pointing out that there was anarchist influence on cyberpunk. Certainly Bruce Sterling talked about anarchist influence in general and his Islands in the Net was inspired by TAZ. His most recent book PIRATE UTOPIA draws on Peter Lamborn Wilson.
